We are Kate and Lance! Although we were both from Ohio, we met while attending school in Florida. After we were married, we decided to purchase a vacation home in the Great Smoky Mountains for our family to enjoy.
We made so many magical memories with our family at the cabin that we wanted to give other people the opportunity to do the same, so we decided to start renting it. It was such a HIT that we purchased more cabins in both the Smoky Mountains and Blue Ridge, Georgia. We also expanded to one of our all-time favorite places, the Florida Keys!
We love finding special properties and converting them to K&L properties! We do that by putting ourselves in our guest’s shoes…. what would we want if we were guests? The Hidden Deer Cabin is the perfect mountain getaway. It easily fit all 14 of us comfortably. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need to entertain a large group. The living room area was cozy and very comfortable. The fire place was perfect for those cold days and nights. Our kids absolutely loved the loft and all the games downstairs! The outdoor space was beautiful. We all loved the big fire pit and spending time in the hot tub. Kate was a great host! She communicated very quickly and provided us with everything we could have needed. We highly recommend staying here!
Kate’s place looked exactly like the pictures. It was immaculately clean and very easy to stay in. She checked on me a couple of times and was very responsive. The pool was a big plus since the weather warmed up. Walking along the docks and looking at all the boats was another treat. I would definitely recommend it.
We had the absolute best stay here! Katie started messaging us back and forth several days prior to our vacation. She was quick to respond and confirm that there was a pack n play for our baby. When we arrived, she even had it set up and ready to use!
The cabin looked exactly like the photos- beautiful! There was enough room to spread out, and the kids enjoyed being in the arcade room. The arcade was a big hit! The whole family spent every evening playing games.
The kitchen had all of the utensils that you would need to cook meals at home. No issues at all!
And lastly, the bedrooms were very comfortable. The beds were wonderful, the temperature was just right, and it truly felt like a 5 star experience.

Kate’s place was exactly as described. The family loved the downstairs game/tv area as we spent a lot of time down there playing games and enjoying family time. We also enjoyed the outside decks and hot tub. The little ones were able to enjoy the jacuzzi inside as well. Location is very close to pigeon forge at just under a mile away from main road but it’s tucked under a hill so you still get good woods views from the back side of cabin. We had snow while we were there and the snow views from the hot tub were very nice. The cabin has very nice roads leading to and from it. There is one steeper hill leading into the culdesac of the cabin and even with little snow there was no issue with AWD/FWD vehicles. Takes 3-4min to reach the main parkway in pigeon forge and about 15-20min to gatlinburg. Kate was also very communicative and accommodating the entire stay and even went over and beyond with bad weather coming in. I would recommend this cabin and Kate as a host anytime. Thanks Kate!
Beautiful house, wonderful host and great location in pigeon forge: close to everything. Easy to get to and the parking wasn’t a challenge ( many homes have steep driveways etc) nice balcony, lots of cute bear decor and very nicely designed. Bed was comfortable and the kitchen was very functional. We were very uncertain about our plans due to our personal situation so having free cancellation was a plus for us and we were willing to pay for the flexibility. Would stay again
everything was great. we have stayed in pigeon forge multiple times and Kate’s home has been the most comfortable, local to the down town, easy to get to, great neighborhood.
everything inside the home was neatly arranged and cozy. all entertainment was very enjoyable. we used the arcade system multiple times along with the golf game. I would recommend this home to anyone.
This is my first experience in a cabin, and I confess that I had many doubts about it, because I am a little picky, but this cabin exceeded my expectations. This cabin is spectacular, very cozy, clean, with everything essential to have a pleasant stay, less than 5 minutes from the main road of Piegon Forge and the beautiful attractions of this place. Definitely 100% recommended. I will return, 😊😉
Cabin is close and convenient to downtown Pigeon Forge, but just far enough away for peace and quiet. 3/4 of the cabin is surrounded by trees offering a nice amount of privacy from the other cabins in the area. The cabin was very clean and the amenities listed were present. Our kids loved the separate downstairs living space that offered a game room, king size bedroom, 1.5 baths and a hide-a-bed. Communication was top notch with Kate. Would highly recommend.
Everything was perfect, both the place and location were dreamy. The pool, restaurant and pool bar are a great option to stay in, very nice food and drinks. But for us, the service Kate provided was the best. Super easy to contact and a great problem solver, always there to make our stay the greatest possible. Thank you Kate!!!
There is no words to describe how amazing this cabin was. It was simply beautiful the view was amazing. It was clean it had everything we needed . We wished we would had stayed longer. We truly enjoyed it. Kate is an amazing host
This place is amazing. Breathtaking views with complete privacy. Plenty of activities for kids to do and plenty of activities for adults as well. Beds were amazing. Everyone slept great and well rested for the next day. If I could give it six stars I would. Kate was proactive in communicating and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you.
Kate is an excellent host. She reached out immediately after we booked, gave specific instructions prior to departure, and kept in touch with us periodically to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and if there’s anything else we need from beginning to end. Easy peazy. Love the name of the place by the way, the Wily Wolf. Kate provided additional instructions on how to get there in case the GPS doesn’t but we had absolutely no problem at all. Once we arrived, we fell in love with the place. Beautiful and quiet surroundings, the cabin was clean with tasteful furnishings (looked even better in person), plentiful amenities especially the towels which we appreciated greatly. There isn’t any negative thing about the whole experience. We had such a wonderful and restful stay here and will definitely recommend the Wily Wolf to everyone! If we could give it 7 stars we would!
From the moment I Book this AirBNB for my family i was excited . It had everything we needed for our group . It is minutes away from the main drag and felt like it was out away from everything . Kate was great throughout the entire trip from the start to finish . I would highly recommend her AirBNB . I will definitely be booking with her again in the future .
We had an amazing stay at this AirBNB in Marathon, Florida Keys! The location was absolutely beautiful, with a beach that was just minutes away – perfect for morning strolls and sunset views. The owner Kate was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We really appreciated the beach chairs and towels provided, making our beach days even more enjoyable.
The pool and tiki bar with the restaurant were a fantastic touch – the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. Speaking of exploring, this place is in a great spot to visit the other Keys, and we highly recommend checking out the Turtle Hospital, which was a highlight of our trip.
The elevator to the 4th floor was super convenient, especially after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, a wonderful experience – we’d definitely stay here again!
Our family spent Christmas at Wily Wolf. We had an amazing time during our 4 day stay. The cabin offered tons of games for our girls and we enjoyed the outdoor living space with heaters. The kitchen was stocked with a range of great equipment – from a crock pot to juicer and even a coffee grinder, which we used daily. The king bed slept very well.
The cabin is very peaceful and yet close to downtown blue ridge.
The day after Christmas , our family enjoyed a wonderful hike at Long Creek Falls and had lunch at Harvest on Main. We also had a an exceptional breakfast at Yellowphant Cafe the morning of our departure.
Kate was an exceptional host and responded to all my questions promptly. We will definitely return.
Our family of six absolutely loved this cabin and location!! It was in a beautiful spot. The road was very private and the gated community was lovely. We saw quite a few deer and it was so quiet and peaceful. The cabin was extremely clean and every single detail was thought of. Our kids loved the game room and we particularly enjoyed the huge deck and hot tub! It was an awesome experience staying here because the cabin was so functional for indoor/outdoor living. It was also super close to town!! Kate was also so attentive to us and a great host. We would definitely stay here again if we are in Blue Ridge!!
This was an amazing cabin. I celebrated my 30th birthday here with 8 of my friends and it was the best time! There was so much to do even without leaving the cabin! The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. The egg chairs were a hit for everyone! Beautiful, peaceful views. Right between both pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. The host was very responsive and checked on us multiple times throughout the stay to make sure everything was up to standards. I would highly recommend this cabin and 100% stay here again.
Our family decided on a last minute vacation & through all of the listings I went through, I kept going back to the Wily Wolf & I am so glad I did! After we arrived my husband said that I made a great choice. Beautiful, clean, & fun! It was also less expensive than other places & had more to do inside of the home. Kate was very nice & responded quickly to messages. We would definitely go back & recommend others book a stay!
Kate’s place was amazing! Everything was exactly as described. The condo was very clean and decorated beautifully! I loved all of the beach themed decor!! The kitchen was stocked with everything you need down to a clean sponge in new packaging to wash our dishes. It’s the little things sometimes. 😀 The bed was so comfortable and we loved the view of the marina. Definitely take time to walk and look at all of the boats. The location was great! Right next to a Publix, and minutes away from Sombrero Beach which is one of the best beaches in the Keys. This place was close to many restaurants and Kate’s recommendations were on point. She was responsive when I had questions and answered within minutes. I highly recommend staying in Marathon because Marathon and Key West have the most to see, but Marathon has the better beach. We will definitely be staying here when we return to Marathon!! Thanks for being an amazing hostess Kate!❤️.
The cabin was well decorated with two Christmas trees, which made it feel like a home. The amenities, including video and board games, pool table and shuffle board, a hot tub and theatre room, kept our family from 18-83 well entertained.
The upper deck had ample seating to enjoy early morning coffee and stargazing.
The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had plenty of cookware, and the cabin definitely met our needs.
Our host, Kate, was excellent at communicating with us before, during and after our stay. She consistently checked to see if we needed anything.
